PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT
Using only highly qualified arboriculturists, we provide top quality tree surveys to BS5837:2012 for planning purposes. Through detailed analysis of proposals and their resulting arboricultural impacts, we identify how to avoid, mitigate and compensate for tree-related harm arising from development. Based on this approach, our advice has secured numerous ‘impossible’ planning permissions, including within Footnote 9 exceptions and historic landscapes.

Our expert services include: forensic accident investigation, Tree Preservation Order matters (including prosecutions), planning Inquiries and subsidence allegations. Our Principal is a Member of the Expert Witness Institute. He has appeared frequently at Public Inquiry, as well as in the civil and criminal courts. Tree Safety & Natural Hazard Management
We undertake expert tree safety inspections to assess health and structural integrity, providing advice on risk assessment and control. Our Principal is Special Advisor on Tree Risk to Network Rail, and his Tree Hazard: Risk Evaluation and Treatment System (THREATS) is in widespread international use.
Working closely with our technology partner, Airbus Defence and Space, we research, design and implement natural hazard management systems at regional and national scale. Based on remote sensing, these systems are designed to provide community and infrastructure protection from a variety of hazards, and are available both off-the-shelf with minimal adaptation, or bespoke.
