FLAC is pleased to publish the second edition of its popular RAVEN method (Recognition of Ancient, Veteran & Notable trees), known as RAVEN 2 . RAVEN 2 has been developed by FLAC Principal Julian Forbes-Laird, following the outcome of the Brislington Meadows Inquiry, in which JFL appeared for Bristol City Council.
RAVEN 2 is consistent with the definition of veteran trees in the NPPF and is only intended to be used within this planning context.
